The Famous Hill Station located on the Palani Hills and about 120 km north-west of Madurai. Kodaikanal is famous for its Water falls. It is a place dear to the Botanists mainly because of a shrub called KURINJI, which flowers only every 12 years and the next blossoming is expected to be in 2004. Astro-physical Laboratory, Flora and Fauna Museum. Bryant Botanical Park, the Silver Cascade waterfalls etc. are other main attractions. At Kodaikanal, normal temperature varies from 10 to 200 C in summer and 8 to 18 oC in winter. The famous Palani Muruga Temple is not far away.
